Nine months after Hurricane Ian destroyed our home, we were finally ready to move back in. Even before the movers arrived, we were overwhelmed. Thank goodness we called Marla Ottenstein, who is not only a Professional Organizer, but also a Certified Move Manager. Marla arrived just as the movers were bringing in the last of the boxes. In less than five minutes, she assessed the situation, spoke with the lead supervisor, reviewed the contract to see if “unpacking” was included (it was not) and got down to business. She made all of the necessary arrangements to have the moving team unpack all 188 boxes AND dispose of the broken-down boxes, debris and packing materials. It was amazing to watch her in action. She was respectful of the movers and helped to facilitate the process. What would have taken most people a week, took Marla only two days to complete. Once she was done putting everything away and organizing our home, she called one of her vendors who specializes in art installation to hang our art and mirrors. If we hadn’t hired Marla to help us unpack and get organized, we’d still be unpacking.
